The wage freeze is being proposed as a cost savings tool for state agencies, local governments and school districts to use when attempting to balance their budgets as a result of the Governor’s proposed reductions in state aid.

Support Public Service Accountability
Budget cuts threaten public services.  In a recent national poll, voters said that reliability is one of the most important things they look for in public services.  A majority believes that services provided by public agencies are more reliable than services turned over to profit-driven corporations. SEIU members support efforts to increase accountability in public service and hope they can count on your support as well.
